"Aromatics Elixir is a bold chypre floral built around a sharp green opening, expansive florals, and a deep mossy woody base. The composition moves from herbal, aldehydic, and citrus facets into carnation, rose, ylang-ylang, orris, jasmine, tuberose, and orange blossom. Oakmoss, patchouli, incense, vetiver, sandalwood, and musk give it a powerful, earthy, resinous finish. Bernard Chant created the fragrance, which became one of Clinique's most distinctive and recognizable perfumes. Its intense, non-conformist character helped establish it as a landmark of classic 1970s women's perfumery.
