"Emporio Armani Lei is a warm, soft feminine fragrance built around an amber-floral and oriental-vanilla character. It opens with a bright, fruity-citrus blend of lime, bergamot, mandarin, pear, pineapple, and tuberose. The heart becomes powdery and floral through heliotrope, orris root, jasmine, and lily-of-the-valley. A creamy base of vanilla, almond, tonka bean, musk, sandalwood, cedar, and amber gives the composition a smooth, sensual finish. The overall effect is elegant, intimate, and slightly nostalgic, with a distinctive second-skin quality. The original 1998 release is regarded as the fuller expression of the fragrance compared with the later version marketed as For Her."
