"Private Selection - Oud Essence is a masculine oriental fragrance released in 2016. Its central character is built around black oud, supported by the resinous warmth of olibanum and myrrh. The composition presents oud in a smooth, approachable style rather than an aggressively medicinal or animalic one. Woody, balsamic, smoky, and subtly sweet impressions give it a darker and more luxurious personality than Abercrombie & Fitch's typical fresh fragrances. It belongs to the Private Selection trio, which explores different interpretations of oud. The fragrance was offered as a 50 ml Eau de Cologne and is now apparently discontinued."
