"Cuir de Russie is a refined interpretation of the Russian leather tradition, balancing crisp citrus with birch, leather, woods, and amber. Its character is notably clean and restrained rather than aggressively smoky or animalic. The opening is dry and sparkling, with lemon, bergamot, and neroli creating an elegant introduction. Birch and leather form the central identity, with a subtle wintergreen effect from the birch material. Sandalwood, styrax, and amber provide a smooth, lightly smoky foundation with a distinctive salty nuance. Released in 1953, it is now regarded as a discontinued vintage Creed composition with collector interest."
