"Fidji EDT is a classic women’s fragrance launched by Guy Laroche in 1966 and widely credited as the house’s first women’s perfume. Created by perfumer Josephine Catapano, it was inspired by the Fiji Islands and built around a fresh green-floral structure with citrus brightness, soft tropical nuances, and a mossy woody base. The fragrance is frequently described as a floral chypre with aldehydic cleanliness, balancing elegance with an airy island fantasy rather than heavy opulence. Its opening combines lemon, bergamot, galbanum, tuberose, and hyacinth, leading into a floral-spiced heart of jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, carnation, and orris. The drydown of sandalwood, patchouli, musk, vetiver, oakmoss, balsam, and ambergris gives it a smooth, classic, slightly mossy finish.
