Created by Josh Meyer, it is built around the striking effect of a burnt match and cade oil, giving it an intentionally charred and dramatic opening. The composition is deepened by resinous labdanum, earthy spikenard, and spicy cardamom, while dark berries add a subtle sweet-fruity contrast to the smoke. It is widely regarded as one of the brand’s boldest and most polarizing creations, with a niche appeal for wearers who enjoy austere, atmospheric fragrances. The scent was originally developed for Machus, a menswear retailer in Portland, which adds to its cult status within the brand’s catalog."
