"Via Lanvin is a classic feminine floral chypre launched in 1971. Its character begins with a bright, green, aldehydic opening accented by citrus and violet. The heart develops into a rich floral blend built around carnation, orris root, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, narcissus, and ylang-ylang. A dry base of oakmoss, amber, musk, sandalwood, vetiver, and cedarwood gives the fragrance its traditional chypre depth. The overall style is elegant, lush, green, and distinctly old-fashioned in the best vintage sense. Via Lanvin is now regarded as a discontinued collector fragrance rather than an actively produced mainstream scent."
