Akaster (EDP)

"Akaster is a dark, dry rose-and-oud fragrance with a distinctly masculine character. Its opening combines crisp lemon and cypress with an aromatic, slightly bitter freshness. The heart develops into a prominent pairing of Bulgarian rose and geranium, with Taif rose adding further floral depth. In the drydown, Laotian oud, cardamom, musk, woods, leather, and patchouli create a smooth but earthy foundation. The composition avoids an overtly sweet or jammy rose effect, instead presenting a restrained and polished interpretation of the rose-oud style. It has become regarded as an understated entry in the Parfums de Marly range, particularly suited to evening wear and colder conditions."
