"Muscs Koublaï Khän is a highly animalic and unconventional amber fragrance released by Serge Lutens in 1998. Its central character is built around civet, castoreum, ambergris, and costus, creating a powerful musk-like impression with earthy and leathery nuances. Cumin adds a warm, spicy edge, while Moroccan rose brings a contrasting floral softness. The fragrance gradually becomes warmer and more rounded, revealing sweet amber, powdery musk, patchouli, and resinous depth.
