Tactics (EDT)

"Tactics is a classic masculine aromatic fougere created for Shiseido and introduced in 1978. Its character is built around a brisk green and citrus opening, followed by an herbal, coniferous heart. Cedar, pine, mint, thyme, and clary sage give the composition a fresh forest-like texture. Oakmoss, musk, amber, tonka bean, and vanilla provide a softly earthy and lightly sweet foundation. The overall effect is clean, sharp, natural, and distinctly evocative of late-1970s and early-1980s masculine perfumery. Rather than being overtly sweet or heavy, Tactics presents a subtle, polished interpretation of a traditional French-style fougere through a Japanese fragrance sensibility."
