"Cinnabar is a rich amber-spicy fragrance introduced by Estée Lauder in 1978. Its character is built around vivid spices, warm florals, incense, balsams, amber, and creamy woods. Cinnamon and clove give the composition a fiery, recognizable opening, while carnation, jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, and lily create a dramatic floral heart. The drydown becomes deep and resinous, combining incense, tolu balsam, benzoin, sandalwood, patchouli, vanilla, and vetiver. It has a powerful vintage-style presence with notable longevity and an expressive, enveloping sillage. Cinnabar remains associated with the bold oriental fragrance style of the late 1970s."
