"Santal Royal EDP is Guerlain’s dark, opulent sandalwood-centered oriental woody composition built around the interplay of creamy woods, rose, oud, leather, and soft florals. Although currently marketed within Absolus Allegoria, multiple sources indicate the fragrance first appeared in 2014 and was later re-presented in 2024. Its character is generally described as rich, smoky, leathery, and sensual rather than airy or minimalist. The sandalwood accord forms the backbone, while rose and jasmine soften the structure and oud adds shadowy depth. Leather, amber, musk, and spice help give it a plush, evening-oriented profile with strong presence. It is widely regarded as one of Guerlain’s more dramatic modern unisex woods."
