Pure Oud (EDP)

"Pure Oud is a dark, dry, resinous oud fragrance released in 2009 as part of Kilian's early Arabian Nights concept. Its structure opens with saffron and develops through oud and copaiba balsam before settling into amber, woods, leather, and animalic nuances. The overall character is smoky, inky, leathery, and austere rather than sweet or overtly medicinal. Guaiac wood, labdanum, cistus, and cypriol give the composition a dense, textured foundation. Calice Becker's construction presents oud in a relatively approachable Western niche style while retaining a brooding, authentic feel. The fragrance is now regarded as a discontinued collector-oriented release from Kilian's early period."
