"First is a classic floral-aldehydic fragrance launched in 1976 for women. It opens with a bright, sparkling blend of aldehydes, citrus, fruits, and black currant. The heart develops into a grand floral bouquet combining white flowers, rose, narcissus, hyacinth, ylang-ylang, and powdery orris. A rich base of honey, oakmoss, musk, sandalwood, amber, vanilla, tonka bean, vetiver, and civet gives the composition depth and lasting warmth. Its character is elegant, expansive, and distinctly vintage without losing its polished refinement. First remains one of Van Cleef & Arpels' best-known classic floral creations."
